Biography

 

I work both as personal trainer and fitness instructor. I teach fitness classes such as boot camp/sculpt, yoga and kickboxing. In addition to working with clients and teaching classes I am a full time student at Hunter College finishing my degree in Nutritional Science. Upon graduation I plan on becoming a Registered Dietitian and continuing training/teaching. I am certified under American Council on Exercise.

Coming from a cycling background, I used to abhor weight training. Libby has been instrumental in transforming my outlook. Having been through a few personal trainers that have led to pulled muscles and injuries, Libby has surpassed them all in terms of experience, knowledge and professionalism. She has helped me build a core strength that gets me through my long hours at the desk and continues to push me hard without compromising my prior sports injuries. Libby has also been great at working me into my very busy work schedule. She is now an invaluable part of my health regime.

Libby is a great personal trainer. She is extremely knowledgable about physical fitness, and she is always motivating and encouraging when we work out. The workouts she designs are effective, challenging and never routine– which means I am never bored. I actually look forward to our sessions!

Libby is an excellent trainer. She does a great job of tailoring my workouts to what she feels I need to work on the most. Libby and i worked on compound movements and exercies. She encouraged me to work harder then i would have alone. She taught me some posture alignments and grip positioning to add into my workout.

Working out with Libby was a rewarding and informative experience. She worked with me at my physical level while constantly motovating me to challenge myself and go one step further. The classes she taught ere upbeat and engaging. My heartbeat was up the whole time and I was encouraged to push my cardio fitness. She brings a positive attitude to the gym and I would work out with her any time.

-Amanda is a lifeguard and competitive irish dancer who is competing in the Dublin world champions for a contest and teaches dance classes regularly as well.

     

I had the opportunity to work and train with Libby at the UA campus health. She has a great personality, work ethics, and talent; she is persistent in obtaining the maximum health and training benefits for herself and the people she works with. There is excellent communication between the exercises she plans for people and the expected benefit for muscles she targets. Three words to describe her personality:

Libby has taught me weight training techniques that maximize results in the least amount of time. She explains in detail which muscle groups are being used, emphasizes safety & good form and motivates me to achieve higher weight fitness goals than I ever thought was possible before! Thanks to Libby, I now feel confident in my ability to continue applying these same principles as I continue training on my own
